Dems are So Proud of the Peaceful Transfer of Power
To a known insurrectionist, liar, sexual abuser, and fraud

I just watched a video of newly elected Senator Adam Schiff. He preened over the self-righteous decision to insist on the “peaceful transfer of power” planned for tomorrow’s session of Congress.
He’s so pleased the Democrats kept their word and will anoint King Trump without any violence. Never mind that the Constitution requires Congress to reject Trump as president unless 2/3 of both Houses vote to allow an insurrectionist to serve.
Never mind that the Supreme Court has been proven to be corrupted by the interests of right-wing billionaires. Never mind that Trump is a convicted felon, rapist, fraud, and pathological liar.
Trump has played the entire Democratic Party
Trump won. I’m not talking about the election. I’m talking about the manipulation game. Trump has succeeded in doing the one thing nobody is willing to stand up to. He has won the image game.
Nothing matters to Democrats as much as their ability to appear like they are not the same as Republicans.
They can’t call out election interference because MAGA calls out election interference even when there isn’t any. They can’t call out Trump’s unfitness due to the insurrection we all watched on TV because Republicans said Biden was unfit, even when he wasn’t. They can’t refuse to certify the election because Republicans tried to do that in 2020. And they can’t fail to show respect and dignity toward the very men determined to ruin this country because Republicans were so disrespectful of Biden and Harris.
Democrats let fear control them and we will pay for it
The only thing controlling Democrats is their fear of doing anything that makes them sound like MAGA.
They don’t care if the FBI targets innocent citizens. Sure, most of those cases could be thrown out, eventually. But how much tragedy will ensue before any judge with the conscience and integrity to say “no” to Trump does the right thing? And who says any judge will? After all, once Trump frees his army of insurrectionists, the threat of violence will be ever-present, and anyone who angers Trump will be a target. We know this. Adam Schiff knows this, but he is okay with it. Because if he isn’t okay with it, that might make him look bad, and he can’t handle that.
Let’s just pat ourselves on the back because tomorrow, Trump will be announced as the president-elect without a single act of violence. That’s what matters.
Here’s my question to Adam Schiff, Hakeem Jeffries, and the other leaders of the Democratic Party: What happens after January 20th?
Ah, well, Schiff already predicted that. Trump will push his unqualified picks for every high office in the country. Now, ask yourself how many Republican members of Congress will be willing to vote against them when there is an army of violent offenders waiting to punish them and their families for it. I say none.
Reality check
It doesn’t make a bit of difference to Democrats what happens to us — it’s all about being better than Republicans. If Dems do anything Republicans can point to and criticize, they crumble in an instant.
So, instead of doing what we all know is the right thing, which is following the law, Dems are going to cooperate with Republicans. They will treat Republicans as honorable and give them the same courtesy and deference they would lavish on someone honorable — even though they know Republicans are not — because trying to stop them by using the law and the Constitution, as written, “isn’t a good look.”
If there was ever a time to abandon the Democratic Party, it is NOW.
We need to lose the two-party system entirely.
We have the technology to revamp our political system completely. This could be led by a group like Indivisible — who valiantly showed us how to use the current system but now that it’s broken beyond repair, perhaps those same bright people could help us create a new system—one where we can go to a candidate’s YouTube channel for direct information from them rather than relying on corporate media or political hacks who are more focused on gaming the system than providing honest information.
