I’m a little peeved right now. After Harris’s dire warnings about threats to our democracy during the 2024 campaign and her insistence that Donald Trump would do precisely what he said he would do, I have a question: Where have you been since he took office?
Trump won the election with a measly 1.5% lead. Why did Harris not call for a hand-count of swing state ballots after all seven swing states miraculously voted for Trump?
Several data analysts and journalists have written about this. One wrote directly to Harris, begging her to call for a hand-count in just a couple of swing states because circumstances surrounding the last minute swing state shifts caused so much concern.
It wasn’t just that Trump won, it was the fact that momentum for Harris and pre-election polling both indicated that she was ahead. Everybody saw it with their own eyes. And we were flabbergasted when Trump somehow managed to wrangle exactly enough votes in key counties to eke out a victory.
But despite requests to quell our concerns, Harris did not request a hand-count — presumably because the optics weren’t good.
With the passage of time, we now have additional evidence to suggest that illegal voter suppression tactics may have played a deciding role in Harris’s loss to Trump in 2024. That, too, should have been investigated. But Dems have been silent on that subject as well, leaving independent media to uncover the truth.
And now, it’s too late for it to matter.
We told YOU so!
As for Harris, she is telling audiences, “I’m not here to say I told you so,” which is a very Trumpian way of saying exactly that. I won’t pretend to be diplomatic: I am here to say it. We told YOU so, Kamala Harris. And we asked you to do something about it and you responded by quietly disappearing.
After Trump won the election, we told Democrats to take the fight to SCOTUS and make them follow their prior ruling, which said the 14th Amendment could not prevent an insurrectionist from running for office, but could prevent them from taking office. But did Harris or any other Democrat pursue that? No! Because it would make them look like sore losers.
Did Harris follow the suggestion of the data analyst who wrote to her asking for a hand recount in just two or three swing states to ensure everything was above board? No! Because it would make her look like a conspiracy theorist.
Kamala Harris was the only person with the authority and standing to have asked for a hand-count — she could have made it happen. But because she didn’t, we will never know if this was an honest win.
Harris abdicated her responsibility to us
Harris abdicated her responsibility to us — and I cannot forgive her.
As a result, we are again at the mercy of the stupidest man to ever occupy the Oval, and Harris wants to preen over the foresight she demonstrated before she caved. I’m not buying it. Harris has lost all credibility in my mind. She did not fight for us; she fought for herself. And when she had an opportunity to do something courageous that might have saved us the horrors we are now experiencing, she couldn’t be bothered.
We are no different from Russia. What made us different for centuries was the quality of our leadership, not the quality of our people.
But Democrats are also to blame. They should never have insisted that our election systems can’t be tampered with. Especially after we all knew of at least one instance where a Republican supporter of Trump physically absconded with a vote-counting machine and took it home for several days. She’s in prison right now for a reason.
What if voting machines are susceptible to tampering?
What if she gave access to someone smart enough to insert a chip that could change the results? How would we know? When she returned it, who examined it to ensure it hadn’t been tampered with?
She said she took it home to prove it miscounted votes so Biden would win. But that may have been a ruse. The problem is, we don’t know because no one bothered to investigate why this crime was committed. We all just took her word for it.
To date at least three cases of machine tampering have been reported — yet nobody has questioned what might be happening here. It’s all been chalked up to crazy people trying to prove Trump won in 2020. But what if that isn’t the reason they stole machines, took them apart, tested the hardware and shared what they learned?
We’ll never know because we were never willing to investigate thoroughly. We couldn’t — because we’d all said it was impossible for a voting machine to miscount votes. God forbid we say something now that makes us look like we’re accusing Republicans of tampering with voting machines. Flip-flopping is a bigger sin than allowing our Constitution to be trashed and our country to be turned into an oligarchy.
It’s okay for people to die from lack of healthcare or end up homeless because their social security checks stop coming — or end up in El Salvador for crimes they didn’t commit — but don’t you dare do anything that will make you look like you changed your mind after you obtained new evidence.
Democrats continue to insist that our systems are so airtight that no one could ever tamper with them. But all this has done is give Trump and his minions cover to cheat, knowing that no Democrat would have the guts to call them on it. And they are right.
If Putin can rig an election so can Trump
Democrats are eager to acknowledge that Putin rigs every election in Russia, yet they pretend nobody can do it here — a position that is both naïve and arrogant. We are no different from Russia. What made us different for centuries was the quality of our leadership, not the quality of our people.
Now, with our Constitution in tatters and the rule of law made meaningless, we are all scrambling to save ourselves from a tyrant — just like the people of Russia.
As for Harris, I can’t stand to listen to her anymore. She failed us. She didn’t have the guts to do the right thing when it mattered most because her image meant more to her than our democracy.
She had her chance and she blew it. In my opinion, she doesn’t deserve to hold any office in the United States of America. Not now, not ever.
